PREDOMINANT CLIMATE
2015 was, so far, the second oldest vintage in history in
Designation of Origin, and this distinguishes the wines and their nuances very much. Autumn and
the winter was very rainy, which left a lot of water in the ground. FOR
Since May, temperatures and warm winds have come, which they did
very phenology of the vineyard. The summer was extremely hot, with thunderstorms.
All this, together with the winter water supply in the vineyards, made the cycle
at high speed, anticipating the average dates of the area up to over 15 days.
A year of complete maturation, with high degrees, excellent expression
fruity and a great storage capacity for the wines of the selected plots
VINTAGE ▾
Harvest by hand, meticulously deciding the optimal time of harvest
for each plot and each variety.
Vinification
Destemmed bunches with the utmost care. Alcoholic fermentation a
controlled temperature. Prolonged maceration with the skins in order to
it extracts more color, aromas and tannic structure. Malolactic fermentation in
oak barrel and stainless steel tank. Once the
malolactic fermentation, all wines go in French oak barrels from
fine-grained. Subsequent rackings every 6 months.
TOTAL TIME IN BARREL
20 months in French oak barrels, divided equally between the barrels
new and one and two year old barrels.
AGING IN THE BOTTLE
Minimum 2 years before its marketing.
NOTES OF CATA
Dark and dense ruby color. Refined and complex aroma with a touch of cherry,
vanilla and soft toasted notes. Balanced in the mouth, where the silky tannins
and well defined are combined with exquisite flavors to reveal a pleasant
fullness. This Reserva firmly follows in the footsteps of the 2012 harvest, which was
awarded with prestigious awards.
Serve at 17ºC.
