Manufacturer: Domaine JACOB
This Corton-Charlemagne, a monocepage of chardonnay, was made by the Jacob estate. The wine comes from a plot «Les Hautes et Basses Mourrottes» located on the southeast slope of the hill (slope 20%) at 300 meters altitude. The soil is marly and clayey-calcareous. The vineyards have an average of 35 years with a plantation density of about 10,000 hectares.
After manual harvesting and strict sorting of the vine and in the cellar, the grapes are vinified in thermoregulated vats. The breeding lasts one year in oak barrels (50% new and 50% in barrels of one year). At the tasting, this powerful and full-bodied wine gives off sweet, buttery aromas. With its great conservation potential (more than 20 years), it will accompany dishes for all occasions: lobsters, bars with butter sauce, or even a good foie gras as an appetizer. A great tasting moment is promised!
