Unfortunately the 2017 wine vintage won't be very productive in most of North Italy. The sudden fall of temperatures in April and the consequent hailstorms made a lot of grapes fell prematurely from the vines, so certain areas as Franciacorta will have a very very low production for this year as some producers have told us personally.
