This is the only white-grape vine that is native to Trentino. Little is known of its history before the beginning of the 19th century but at this time it was being grown in the Valle del Sarca and on the hills of Pressano di Lavis. Its ideal habitat is a hillside with clay or clay-limestone soil because it requires a lot of sunshine and good ventilation provided by the Ora del Garda wind. This is a vine which is greatly affected by changes in the climate
