Colour
Intense ruby red with garnet reflections, brilliant and deep.
Bouquet
Intense, complex. Notes of violet, withered rose, sweet spices, liquorice, tar, tobacco, undergrowth. Elegant.
Taste
Structured, elegant, noble and well-integrated tannins. Persistent, with hints of ripe red fruit and spices. Long finish.
Alcohol content
13.5% - 14% Vol
Type of glass
Large Burgundy or Gran Cru glass, to enhance complexity and aromas.
Pairings
Perfect with important roasts, game, braised meats, aged cheeses, truffle dishes. A meditation wine.
Refinement
Minimum 34 months, including at least 24 in large oak barrels, followed by a long rest in the bottle.
Vinification
Prolonged maceration on the skins and controlled temperature fermentation in stainless steel tanks.
