TO ENJOY IT AT THE BEST
Service temp
16-18 ° C
When to open
To enjoy it at its best, we advise you to let the wine 'breathe' at least 15-30 minutes before serving
Glass
Medium opening glass
Medium opening glass
Ideal for light and medium-bodied red wines, which do not need oxygenation to open. The opening slightly narrower than the body of the glass favors the concentration of aromas towards the nose, enhancing the perception of aromas and limiting their dispersion
When to drink
Evolves
Perfect wine to drink immediately, but can evolve well if kept in the cellar
You can easily leave it in the cellar for 3-4 years
DESCRIPTION OF THE SOMMELIER
Montefalco Rosso Perticaia is an expression of Guido Guardigli's ability to become in a few years a symbol of quality and competence in Umbrian enology. The name of the winery derives from the Umbrian dialect word with which it was called the plow, the symbolic tool of man's revolution that took place at the time of the transition from nomadic farming to sedentary agriculture.
Thus a unique and indissoluble relationship was created between the land and those who work it, dedicating his life to it. And it is precisely this to which Guido Guardigli has dedicated his business, a reality that respects traditional teachings, turning to the future in the constant search for quality. The logo shown on the label, a crossed double P, comes from the union of the initials of the words "Progetto Perticaia", or, as we like to think in the cellar, the two P's could belong to the words "Think Positive".
It is with this philosophy that Montefalco Rosso Perticaia is born, a splendid red wine born from a blend with a prevalence of Sangiovese and equal percentages of Sagrantino and Colorino that boldly unveils a rich and multifaceted olfactory profile, which plays on the balance of spicy and desserts. In tasting it is capable of surprising with a very pleasant, perfectly balanced body, in which the grapes, grown on the southern side of the Montefalco appellation, dominate the gustatory scene. A ruby nectar that offers a moment of fresh harmony.
Ruby red color
Scent Fruity and spicy hints with notes of cherry, sour cherry, pink pepper and nutmeg
Taste Fresh and soft, balanced and persistent
