Every day we collect fresh mountain milk from over 70 farms in the Orobie Valleys. From the nearest stables in Branzi to the more distant ones in Oltre il Colle, on the border with the Seriana Valley, or in Fuipiano Imagna, towards the Taleggio Valley and Valsassina; we are not afraid to travel up to 100 kilometers a day to guarantee a raw material of great quality not only for our cheese, but also for the environment and the local economy.
We are proud to contribute to the maintenance of small agricultural realities in a marginal and difficult area like the mountains. Precisely in an era when there is a tendency to abandon the High Lands due to the associated logistical inconveniences, we decide to stay with tenacity and with the conviction that it is the right path for our products and for those who work with us.
The Val Brembana, home to Latteria di Branzi, is the undisputed Land of the Prince Cheeses of the Orobie.
It is thanks to its dense park of still active alpine pastures and a dense network of small and medium-sized farms that carry on a traditional economy, which is also a tool for safeguarding the beauty of the territory.
The pastures are dotted with small stone and wooden structures that are not just memories, but true active cultural heritage: they are a bridge to the future, where modern technologies can coexist with traditional techniques and activities.
The journey of our products starts from the good milk of our suppliers and ends in our aging cellars. Here the cheeses do not just make a simple stop, but are cared for by our expert affineurs under carefully calculated conditions of humidity, temperature, and light exposure.
