Wine made from the grapes of the homonymous variety. It is
bright ruby red with purple hues. It offers a very pleasant bouquet
of violets over an increasing aroma of bramble, raspberry, prune
and cherry. The flavour is dry, full, with balanced tannins. An
unexpected smoothness mitigates the slightly bitter finish.
CHARACTERISTICS:
VINE TRAINING SYSTEM: double arched cane (cappuccina).
SOIL TYPE: marls and stratified sandstone of Eocene origin,
vineyards facing South.
YELD PER HECTARE: 90 quintals of grapes.
AVERAGE PLANTING DENSITY: 5000 rootstocks per hectare.
VINIFICATION: maceration on the skins for 8 up to 10 days at
controlled temperature of 25°- 28° C.
REFINEMENT: aged in bottle for two months.
SERVING TEMPERATURE: 14°- 16° C.
ALCOHOL: 12.50 % vol.
