Claudio Alario's Barolo Riva Rocca 1998 is a magnificent dry red wine from Piedmont, made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes. It presents an intense garnet red color with orange reflections. On the nose, it opens with a complex bouquet of rose, violet, liquorice, and tobacco. The palate is dry, warm, with silky tannins and a long finish of dried fruit and spices. Perfect with roasts, game, and aged cheeses. Serve at 18-20°C in a large glass.
