Kaltern - St. Josef at Lago di Caldaro: 230 m above sea-level on hilly sandy-clay soil of medium difficulty. The proximity to the lake guarantees optimal climatic conditions.

Characteristics:
Lagrein presents crimson red in colour with violet reflexes in the glass. A wine full of character which seduces the nose with a breath of ripe black currants, plum fruit, a trace of elder and the seasoning of liquorice and undemanding but pleasant vegetable components in the background round off the picture. It is powerful, with clear tannins as well as a little fruit fullness in the finale at the palate.
