29/03/2013 - If I have to explain what "organic" means, I always have some trouble. Because I always think that the answer actually sounds trite.
My farm is a company conducted only by family members and I am the last in the long line of 4 generations. If I had told my grandfather that I am an "organic farmer", he would have asked me, "What's that?" And I would have answered him: "You know, Grandpa, organic means that you don't apply any pesticides and poison." Then my grandfather would have said, "This is what I have done, but I didn't call it organic." How can I say then that I am doing something new? Read more ...
