The domaine was formed on the division of a historic ChoreyLes-Beaune family. Always suppliers of the great shops of Beaune, the Gay family, over 30 years ago began to bottle the entire production, completing the entire wine chain. Today the domaine is led by his son, a serious and shy winemaker, totally absorbed by the work in the vineyard and not inclined to contacts with the outside, role in which he is replaced by his father, a jovial figure, resourceful and full of energy despite being officially retired. In fact, wines are emblematic of their parents, the image of the old-fashioned producer who loves solid, structured and fleshy Pinot, certainly not very feminine and sweet. Symbol of an old idea of Burgundy sincere and generous daughter of a terroir of modest vocation. Chorey comes from ten plots of old vineyards worked according to the methods of reasoned intervention. The wines have a good structure, are fruity and soft but with a very masculine expressiveness. The Pinot Noir that comes from this finage is a sincere wine with a direct and masculine expressiveness.
