The legend narrates that it was invented many centuries ago by the Langobardics, who offered it as a sign of peace. But the Colomba di Pasqua made as we know it currently was invented by a Milan panettone producer, who had this idea in order not to waste the panettone dough. During the years it has become in particular a Lombardy and Sicilian specialty, and how couldn't Colomba Nero Sublime - Fiasconaro be as amazing as their panettone? Indeed the recipe is the same, the only thing changing is the shape, which is linked also to peace symbolism, also giving us a further opportunity to eat this amazing dessert in disguise for one more period.
