The pigs in the Cillo Certified Chain are from two native Italian breeds: the Apulo Calabrese Pig (Nero Lucano) and the Suino di Razza Casertana (Casertana Breed), raised outdoors using traditional methods and controlled feeding, to guarantee our customers superior quality meat.

Salame di Nero Casertano has a spacing that is present but not intrusive, accompanying the strong flavor of the meat, which is close to that of a wild boar salami, while remaining more delicate and less wild with an excellent aromatic balance and a very pleasant texture given by the right tenacity to the bite.
