Manufacturer: Weingut Tenuta Schweitzer
The Tenuta Schweitzer vineyard is located in Tirolo, near Merano, under the Tirolo Castle, at an altitude of about 450m. Its name, "Tschaupp" (translated from medieval German: "look"), describes its privileged position, with a spectacular corner view on three sides of the Burgraviato: towards the South on the Val d'Adige, towards the South-West on the city of Merano and towards the North-West on the Val Venosta. It is precisely these three positions of the vineyard that give it its particularity. Each orientation is characterized by different solar as well as thermal exposures. The harvest of the three different areas takes place between the beginning of September and the end of September at different times, precisely to highlight the geographical peculiarity of the vineyard. The winemaker of Tenuta Schweitzer is Martin Aurich (Castel Juval), known and awarded with various national and international awards.
