DESCRIPTION OF THE WHITE FUROR
The Furore Bianco by Marisa Cuomo is the symbol of heroic viticulture, practiced in the geographically inaccessible areas of the Amalfi coast, in tiny patches of land torn from the mountains, the rocks, the sea, where each harvest is an act of effort and love. Marisa Cuomo's company is located in the homonymous municipality of Furore, 500 meters above the sea. The area planted with vines extends over 10 hectares, 3.5 of which are owned. The soil is made up of limestone dolomitic rocks, with vines mainly trained in pergola and often planted on vertical rocky walls. These terraces, of splendid scenic value, boast an almost perfect sun exposure and enjoy the beneficial influences given by the proximity of the sea.
To the charm of the Furore area, dominated by the geometry of the over 80-year-old vineyards, must be added the suggestive cellar carved into the rock that houses the aging barriques, where natural freshness and humidity best govern the aging of Marisa Cuomo wines. Therefore, in this terroir with inimitable geological and pedoclimatic characteristics, Furore Bianco, a traditional blend of Falanghina (formerly called Biancazita) and Biancolella, two indigenous vines of the area traditionally vinified together, aged in steel only for 4 months. This unique territory, overlooking a fjord carved by the Schiato river, was the scene of the film "L'Amore", shot in 1948 by Roberto Rossellini.
The Marisa Cuomo Furore is characterized by a long maceration capable of complexifying the aromatic bouquet. It has a straw yellow color that is reflected in the glass with great brightness. It is a fresh, pulpy and balanced expression, but also intense and complex, capable of evoking the typical scents of the Mediterranean landscape from which it comes. The olfactory picture is painted in light shades, in which brushstrokes of citrus, white flowers and nuts are the background to the classic and pleasant sensations of Mediterranean scrub. A sip that strikes and is not forgotten: a concentration of sun, sea and earth!
Color Pale straw yellow
Scent Fresh and delicate, of marine herbs, hawthorn, almonds and hazelnuts
Taste Wide and balanced, juicy, fruity, with a good freshness
