The story of the name of this wine is now well known; we will not tell it here again. One thing, however, is now certain: its kinship with a French variety, "Sauvignonasse."

And it is precisely its obvious kinship with Sauvignon that has determined its success in Friuli, a land of choice for white wines with a strong and incisive character.

The grapes are usually harvested in mid-September to capture the right balance between freshness and structure. After extremely soft crushing and static clarification, we ferment the must in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, along with 5 percent whole berries from the finest bunches left in the sun during mashing. The wine was aged on the lees for 5 months; malolactic fermentation was not carried out.

Nose: Overripe fruit and notes of bitter almond, white flowers, camo- milla and delicate mineral background notes.

Taste: Great balance between savoriness and acidity, barely perceptible tannin on the palate, ripe fruit sensations with mineral aftertaste.
