"Passofonduto" is a place, a district, it is home, the beating heart and headquarters of a project born in 2014 in the Platani Valley, on the border between the province of Agrigento and Caltanissetta, in the chalky-sulfiferous area of Sicily, among large chalk rocks, wooded areas, aromatic and wild plants, vegetable gardens, cereals, olive, almond and fruit trees.
The estate's vineyard, the real driving force behind the winery, is bred in the alberello style on limestone-clay soil with important presence of gypsum and conducted through artisanal workmanship with total respect for the soil, the plant and the environment.
To make the most of the expression of the soil that "changes from palm to palm," the harvest is parceled, vinification is artisanal, and fermentations are spontaneous through the work of indigenous yeasts that participate in the Terroir effect.
