A recipe with chocolate Modica.
Ingredients for 2 cookie sheets:
- 250 gr modica chocolate with orange peel (or variety of your choice)
- 210 g flour
- 110 g sugar
- 55 g butter
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 pinch of salt
- icing sugar
Preparation:
Melt the chocolate using the double-boiler method and add the butter.
Mix the flour with the baking powder and the salt.
Put the eggs and sugar in a bowl and mix for 15 minutes until creamy. Then mix the chocolate with the eggs slowly and thoroughly. Now stir in the flour. The result is a very sticky dough that must rest for 1 hour in the fridge.
Put the icing sugar into a bowl.
Shape the dough into small walnut-sized balls. Toss them well in the powdered sugar.
Put the balls on the baking sheet. Keep a certain distance, as the balls rise slightly.
Bake at 170 ° C for 10 minutes in the oven.
Let cool on a wire rack and sprinkle with powdered sugar if needed.
