Pasta Factory Guided tour of the Martelli pasta factory Lari in English Many agencies who are not even familiar with Lari offer guided tours of the Martelli pasta factory. Ilse, who has lived in Lari for over 25 years, will not only guide you through the workings of this worldwide- known pasta factory established in 1926, but will also introduce you to the Martelli family itself, which runs the factory in the third generation, and to the historical and picturesque Tuscan hillside town, its “dolce vita” and culinary delights. You can enjoy a wonderful day in Lari with the following activities, which can also be booked individually: 10 AM - Guided tour of the Martelli Gourmet Pasta Factory, Euro 5 p.p., children up to 2 years - 16 years 3,-- euro 11 AM - Visit to a local butcher followed by a salami and ham tasting of own production, Euro 3 p.p. 12:15 PM - Visit to the medieval Castle. Climb the 99 steps and simply enjoy the beautiful view or visit the interior with an auto-guide (Euro 4 p.p.) or a personal guided tour in English (Euro 6 p.p.). 1 PM - Pasta tasting, Euro 9.50 p.p. for three different types of Martelli pasta with tasty sauces, one glass of wine, water. 3 PM - Visit to Lari’s charming ice cream store to taste the best home-made ice cream in the area. 4:30 PM - Wine-tasting in English, Euro 8 p.p. 7 PM - Fantastic Italian Theater, especially for foreign audiences, surely a high-point of your holiday.
