The Mooiplaas Merlot Cabernet Franc is an excellent South African red from Stellenbosch. This blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc has a deep ruby red color with violet hues. The nose offers red berries, plum, herbaceous notes, sweet spices, and cedar hints. On the palate, it's balanced, smooth, with velvety tannins and a persistent finish. Aged 12-18 months in French oak, it's ideal with red meats and aged cheeses. Serve at 16-18°C.
