Intense and complex. Notes of cherry in spirit, blackberry jam, licorice, sweet spices, cocoa, and a touch of tobacco.

Warm, velvety, with great structure and persistence. Fruity and spicy returns, well-balanced with soft tannins.

Refinement
36 months in new French oak barriques, followed by 24 months in bottle.
Vinification
Traditional grape drying (appassimento) for about 3 months. Soft pressing, slow fermentation in steel at controlled temperature.
