Massimago Amarone SVM 400 from Veneto. Air-dried Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, Oseleta grapes. Intense ruby red, complex aromas of red fruits and spices. Warm, enveloping taste, velvety tannins, persistent finish. Ideal with rich dishes or for meditation.

Colour
Intense ruby red with garnet reflections.
Bouquet
Intense and complex, notes of ripe red fruits, cherry in spirits, sweet spices, cocoa, and tobacco.
Taste
Warm, enveloping, structured, soft, with velvety tannins and a long, persistent finish. Notes of jam, licorice, vanilla.
Alcohol content
15.5% Vol.
Type of glass
Large red wine glass, type 'Bordeaux Grand Cru' or 'Amarone'.
Pairings
Grilled or braised red meats, game, aged cheeses, rich and structured dishes. Also as a meditation wine.
Refinement
36 months in large oak barrels, then at least 12 months in bottle.
Vinification
Grape drying (appassimento) for 3-4 months. Soft pressing, slow fermentation with indigenous yeasts in steel, long maceration on the skins.
18-20°C.
