The Nero d'Avola Rosso of Contrada Lenza Lunga di Marabino was obtained from 100% Nero d'Avola grapes grown in the Buonivini district in the territory of Noto (SR). The vineyard of reference takes its name from its typical "line" shape, which in the local dialect indicates a plot with a narrow and long conformation. The vines, trained with spurred cordon, insist on calcareous-clayey soils, at an altitude between 30 and 69 meters above sea level. The alcoholic fermentation, which converted the sugars into alcohol, took place for 15 days with the help of indigenous yeasts and a long maceration on the skins. Before being marketed, the Nero d'Avola Rosso of Contrada Lenza Lunga 2017 rested for 12 months in steel tanks plus a further 6 months in the bottle. Marabino produces its wines by marrying the biodynamic style, ie without the use of herbicides and synthetic chemical fertilizers.
