Corradi Farm: Traditional Farming Knowledge and Technological Expertise at the Service of Quality and Sustainability
27/01/2026
- The farm was founded in Loreggia in the eighties, stemming from the desire to enhance the family’s fields. In 1999, the Corradi family arrived in Marcon, in the province of Venice, where they built 25 hectares of greenhouses, focusing on water and energy sustainability: rainwater for irrigation, solar energy for cooling, minimizing the use of non-natural substances. In the fields, greenhouses, and orchards, integrated pest management is practiced, meaning the use of natural and sustainable agricultural techniques such as green manures, false seedbeds, and flame weeding. Natural compost and antagonistic insects are also used to combat pests: because nature is a valuable ally. After purchasing land in Basilicata, a modern and efficient artisan laboratory for the production of processed foods was inaugurated in 2022: Corradi products, which represent the entire supply chain, from cultivation to jar. Sustainability has always been one of the key points on which the company operates and continues to update. Here are some concrete examples of this commitment: Collection basins built between the greenhouses where rainwater flows, which, mixed with water from our well, is used to water crops only when needed: because every drop of water is precious. Enhancement of solar energy, thanks to the installation of a modern and efficient photovoltaic system, which allows total energy autonomy. Corradi jams and marmalades do not contain artificial pectins or industrial preservatives, but only plenty of fresh fruit and genuine, simple ingredients, such as cane sugar and lemon juice, prepared artisanally with the utmost respect for food safety. The reason lies in our choice not to use pectins and excess sugar; in fact, during the cooking phase, the fruit water evaporates, reducing the weight of the product in the jar, and adding pectins, chemical thickeners, or a lot of sugar to compotes is a way to retain this water. The purees are also prepared with fresh vegetables grown by us, using artisanal methods and only natural ingredients such as vinegar, extra virgin olive oil, salt, and natural spices. No artificial flavors or preservatives are ever added. Indeed, we believe that genuineness and food safety can coexist thanks to extensive experience, continuous quality choices in the fields, and rigorous controls over artisanal production processes, overseen by expert food technologists.
