"Western Cellars" Red Zinfandel is a red semi-dry wine from the Zinfandel grape variety grown on sandy, stony and clayey-calcareous soils of the Central Valley of California, near the town of Cutler. Zinfandel is a typical Californian grape variety, which is believed to have originated in Southern Italy and was brought to California by immigrants from Italy. The wine from Zinfandel, thanks to the burning California sun, turns out strong and juicy, like a fruit dessert. When the berries are fully ripe, harvest begins, which is carried out manually at night with the lowest possible air temperature. Fermentation at a controlled temperature of no higher than 32 ° C lasts 6-12 days, after which the wine is immediately filtered. Vinification takes place in the Californian cellars of Western winery, and wine is bottled in France, at the facilities of the famous French giant Les Grands Chais de France.
The company Les Grands Chais de France (GCF Group) exists since 1979 and today it is considered the largest producer and exporter of French wines. The company's main task is to produce consumer wines of very high quality, therefore GCF Group branches are present in all important winemaking regions of France. The head office of Le Grand-Schein-de-France and one of the plants are located in Petersbach (North Alsace), there are also plants in Bordeaux, Beaujolais, Languedoc-Roussillon and other areas. In addition, to expand the range of wines, the company acquired vineyards and wineries abroad - in the US, Chile, Germany and Spain.
