According to legend, Archbishop Boemund II (1354-1362) was seriously ill. As he did not respond to any treatment he was subjected to, one of Bernkasteler's winemakers offered him a small barrel of wine. Given his quick recovery, this wine was praised and regarded as the truth of his cure; hence this vineyard was called "Doctor".
Tasting Notes: Hints of exotic fruit and deep minerality. It has a charming and very elegant style with a wonderful play of sweetness and acidity. On the palate aromas of peach, mango and passion fruit are perceived.
