From sunny Sicily, Florio Marsala Superiore Secco is a DOC fortified wine produced from Grillo, Inzolia, and Catarratto. It presents an intense amber color tending towards topaz, luminous and brilliant. The nose reveals an intense and ethereal bouquet, with hints of dates, toasted almond, licorice, vanilla, and acacia honey, culminating in spicy and persistent notes. The taste is dry, full-bodied, warm, and harmonious, with a persistent and savory finish that evokes toasted almonds and candied citrus. It has an alcoholic strength of 18% vol. and ages for at least 2 years in Slavonian oak barrels. Serve between 10-14°C in a small tulip glass. It is ideal with savory appetizers, aged cheeses, bottarga, and smoked fish.
