Campostarne Valtènesi DOC
This quintessential Valtènesi blend was vinified in the most painstaking, natural manner and fine-tuned in small barrels of white oak for at least 12 months. The naturalness and care that went into its making result in extraordinary quality and digestibility.
Vineyards: Over twenty years of age, southeastern exposure
Soil: Silty-sandy terrain, characteristic of the Garda area
Varieties: Groppello Gentile, Marzemino, Sangiovese, Barbera
Color: Deep ruby with cherry hues, intense and brilliant
Bouquet: Ample, rich, recalls ripe fruit, redcurrant, blackberries and subtle citrus fruit – abundant in these lakeside terrains. Pronounced aromas of violets and olive wood; spicy notes with hints of licorice, tobacco and jam; this is a peppery nose showing great complexity and balance; delicate undertones of strawberry.
Palate: Confirms the bouquet, complex and layered without excess; outstanding, sweet tannins that prolong flavor and roundness up to 4/4. The wine’s fragrance and flavors together make their mark as memorable examples of Valtènesi’s unique terroir.
Serving Temperature: Ideally, 16-18° C (60.8-64.4° F)
