- The artichoke is a fundamental ingredient of Lazio's regional cuisine. From appetizers to first courses and main dishes, its typical herbaceous and enveloping flavor is the cornerstone of many traditional and innovative recipes. The region has always had a strong agricultural side, a vocation for a land capable of yielding exceptional fruits in abundance. Agnoni has a history closely tied to this agricultural aspect, which began in the 1960s when Neno and Nena purchased a plot of land. From here began the direct cultivation of the land, with a company philosophy that can be summarized in the motto “innovate while maintaining identity.” Time and experience led to the discovery of the best method for cultivating the land, which became a true art. And like all arts, even when enriched by modern knowledge and technologies, the family’s conviction is that it should remain as artisanal as possible, following the rhythms of the earth. The supply chain is 100% local, with raw materials coming from the Agnoni family’s own fields and from local farms. This reduces environmental impact and guarantees freshness; sustainability guides every choice: from field to final product. Finally, fully recyclable packaging is used, designed to reduce waste and promote a clean and fair economy. As mentioned at the beginning, the company’s flagship product is Roman artichokes, prepared with a few high-quality ingredients to best convey the pure flavor of the raw material, such as extra virgin olive oil (also from the company’s olive trees), mint, and vinegar.
