Tortellini of Valeggio sul Mincio is a form of fresh egg pasta stuffed with beef, pork, chicken and natural flavourings.
It can be prepared in meat broth or drained and drizzled with butter and sage. A sprinkling of Grana cheese is the perfect final touch.
Since this pasta is extremely thin, they must not be left to cook for more than 2 minutes.
Every year, in honour of this traditional dish the "Festa del Nodo d'Amore" (The Love Knot Celebration) is celebrated on the Visconteo bridge of Valeggio sul Minci.
