Andrini MarmellateI Prodotti: Typical products and treats Bakery products
For 70 years it has brought sweetness into the mouths of Italians. It’s Andrini Marmellate, from Gottolengo, a small village in Po Plain, between the provinces of Brescia, Cremona and Mantova.
Battista Andrini’s business dates back to 1937, with the production of its traditional “Marronata” and chestnut cream, that still represents its flagship.
Nowadays it’s the founder’s granddaughter , Maria Luisa Andrini, who carries out the family company. With her sons and husband she continues the production with the same traditions then ,following recipes bequeathed by her grandfather.
But Andrini from Gottolengo is not home only of the Marronata, but also of the sweet and mustard “Cotognata Bresciana” (Quinces), and indeed they’re depositary of its 18th century recipe, invented by Dr. Grammatica in order to cure his patients. According to this recipe the solid jam must be prepared by hand with quinces, candied oranges and sugar, and then preserved in wooden boxes of 400gr.
Andrini Marmellate is always in search of new products in order to satisfy the choosy requests of consumers.
